I was sold on ‘O’ by 'Réverbère’, a fog-shrouded streetlamp fable worthy of Montmartre, a cradle of “chanson”.
While Laura pays reverence to tradition, she bends guitar, drums, bass, brass and piano to a firm will, pursuing an intuitive path close by the royal road cut by the highly original Camille (‘Le fil’, ‘Ilo Veyou’, etc).
With a warmly assured voice, a moment of operatic surprise and an intimate demo on this album, Laura has a song-writing range of great promise. Nicholas Taliesin Barrett
